ROLAND WOLSTENHOLME
Senior: Construction Safety Management
Roland began his construction career in 1992 as a laborer in Sarasota, Florida after returning from his tour of active duty as a Combat Medic with the Third Army in Kuwait and Iraq in the first Gulf War.
In 2000, he made a career change, leaving the Construction industry for the Retail Industry becoming an Assistant Store Manager with Kash & Karry Supermarkets. In 2005, he changed employers, moving to Sweetbay Supermarkets where he was a Store Manager, with responsibilities including the supervision of 110 employees, which involved being responsible for their occupational safety and health, including OSHA compliance, on a daily basis.
In 2010, Roland became an associate with the Company, working for and under the direct supervision of Steve, doing field investigation of construction site accidents, document examination and analysis as well as workplace injury cause and trend analysis.
In October 2016 Roland received his certification as a COSS, Certified Occupational Safety Specialist, In March of 2017 Roland received his certification as a COSM, Certified Occupational Safety Manager, from the Alliance Safety Council.
He has also completed Continuing Education courses, including the OSHA 30-hour Outreach Construction Safety and Health, Scaffold Training Institute Scaffold Builder Course, Crane Institute of America Rigging, Crane Safety and Forklift Inspector courses, as well as the American Ladder Institute’s Ladder Safety courses.
He is an OSHA Construction Competent Person, Certified Scaffold Builder Trainer, Rigger/Signalperson, Rigging and Signalman Trainer and Forklift Inspector.
